This policy explains how Re-Up (“we”, “us” and “our”) handles personal information when you browse getreup.com.au, shop with us, subscribe to our emails or contact our team. You can reach us at hello@getreup.com.au.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we collect:
- Contact and delivery details: your name, email address, phone number, and billing and delivery addresses when you provide them at checkout or contact us.
- Order information: items, quantities, amounts paid, discounts, payment status, delivery details, returns and correspondence about your order.
- Email preferences: your email address and subscription choices when you join our newsletter.
- Browsing information: your IP address, browser and device information, pages and products viewed, cart activity, referring pages and, where permitted by your privacy settings, campaign information.
We receive information directly from you, automatically through the website, and from Shopify and payment or delivery providers involved in your order. You can browse without giving us your name, but we need certain details to process and deliver a purchase.
How we use it
We use personal information to process payments, fulfil and track orders, handle returns, answer enquiries and send service updates. We also use it to remember your cart, administer discounts, protect against fraud, troubleshoot the website and understand how people find and use our store. Where marketing is permitted, we also use browsing and shopping activity to measure and improve advertising.
If you subscribe, we use your details to send product news and offers. We may also use relevant records to meet our accounting and legal obligations and resolve disputes.
Marketing preferences
Joining our newsletter is optional. You can stop marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting hello@getreup.com.au. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential messages about an order you have placed.
Storage & security
Information is held in the systems we use to operate Re-Up, including Shopify and our hosting and communications providers. Some providers operate internationally, so information may be processed or stored outside Australia, including in the United States, Canada and Singapore. Locations depend on the provider and service; Shopify describes its international processing in its Privacy Policy.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted website connections and access controls on the services we use. No online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as needed for its purpose, including fulfilling orders, providing support, maintaining required business records and resolving disputes. Retention depends on the type of information and applicable obligations. Some transaction records may need to be retained after a deletion request. Contact us if you would like to discuss a particular record.
Your information & choices
You can contact us to request access to the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate details, withdraw marketing consent or ask us to delete information. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. If we cannot fulfil all or part of a request, we will explain why, subject to any legal restrictions.
Rights and exceptions can depend on where you live and the laws that apply. Requests about your separate Shop or Shop Pay account can also be made directly to Shopify through its privacy portal.
Contact & complaints
For a privacy question, request or complaint, email hello@getreup.com.au with “Privacy” in the subject line. Please describe your concern and how you would like us to respond. Our team will review it, ask for any details needed to investigate and reply with the outcome or next steps.
If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner for information about privacy complaints and whether it can assist.
We may update this policy when our services or information practices change. The current version will be published here with the updated date shown above.
